James Hinchcliffe (born December 5, 1986) is one of Canadian’s best known race car drivers, for his participation in the IndyCar Series.
“Hinch”, or the self-proclaimed mayor of fictional internet city “Hinchtown”, as he prefers to be called, has won six races to date for Andretti Autosport and Schmidt Peterson Motorsports and was the 2011 IndyCar Rookie of the year.
Off track, Hinch finished second on Season 23 of “Dancing with the Stars” along with partner Sharna Burgess. His microbrew beer, named for him: Hinchtown Hammer Down, is brewed by Flat12 Bierwerks in Indianapolis and the golden ale is now available seasonally across Indiana, Kentucky and Hinchcliffe’s native Ontario, Canada. He collects guitars and antique lighters and has worked as a broadcast analyst for Advance Auto Parts INDYCAR Radio Network, Champ Car and A1 GP Network. He also hosts a podcast with friend and fellow driver Alexander Rossi, called “Off Track with Hinch and Rossi.”
